The room had basic amenities, with one double bed and a sofa bed, but it faced the main street and was loud at night. In summer, it can be hard to rest with the windows open. For the price of one night, I felt the services were too basic. Breakfast was a very basic German spread: eggs, different marmalades, butter, and juice. If you need a non-pork option, let them know directly when booking. There were only a few teabag teas, though the coffee machine had a good selection.

The innkeeper was extremely friendly and accommodating, and helped with several requests, including an extra breakfast option. We enjoyed the restaurant food, especially the fresh meat, and the prices were reasonable. The location was handy too, with Feldberg, Schluchsee, and other attractions easy to reach by car. Our room felt quite dated, the Wi-Fi was unreliable, and the TV was so small that watching a film was difficult. It’s a good idea to have another plan for evening entertainment. Still, we were satisfied with our stay.

At €100 for two people for one night with breakfast, I thought it was a good deal. The host was very friendly, and breakfast had a nice balance and variety. The room was a little dated but clean. There was a slight sewage smell in the bathroom, unfortunately, and we had trouble sleeping because we’re not used to the constant passing-car noise. That part is very subjective.
