The Curve Hotel BayArena Leverkusen

The sauna and gym were clean and well equipped, and the hotel itself was spacious, clean, and had friendly staff. It serves breakfast with a wide menu. There are lots of rooms across six floors, but I don’t think you can see the stadium from them, since the side facing it seems to be reserved for conferences. They don’t provide water free of charge, and parking isn’t free either, which I feel it should be. Overall, I had a good experience and would stay there again if I visit.

We used this as a base for Cologne and other cities, and loved it for that. The hotel is simple and right next to the Leverkusen stadium. Our one-bed apartment was spacious and well maintained, with a separate lounge where the kids had a sofa bed. The staff throughout were pleasant. Breakfast was a typical small buffet, with a decent selection of pastries, deli items, bacon, and eggs. I don’t remember it changing from day to day, but it was enough to get the day started. The fan club is about a five-minute walk away, with a gift shop and a lovely stadium view. From our room, we could watch the players practicing and signing autographs as they came in.

I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the restaurant had great choices.

Being in the stadium is amazing, especially for a Bayer 04 fan, but that’s where the appeal ends for me. The rooms are old and tired and badly need refurbishment. Food was very mediocre for the high prices, and the front desk service was terrible. The bar and restaurant staff were friendly, though. A great team and stadium deserve a better hotel.
