villa furstenberg

We had a bad experience all around. The owner was extremely unfriendly, the WiFi didn’t work, and loud construction started inside the hotel at 8 in the morning with no one telling us beforehand. This place is horrible.

The rooms were nice and clean, close to the main street, and the breakfast was tasty. Excellent!

The staff were friendly.

The villa is a real eye-catcher, beautifully renovated, and I like old houses furnished with care, so I’d come back. Everything was clean, the heating worked, and it was quiet outside at night. Our room was large and functionally furnished, with a comfortable mattress, and they’d clearly tried to make it as comfortable as possible. For the price, the rooms are really good, though they’re very noisy: at midnight we had to ask the guest below us to turn down the TV. We were in room 24. The bathroom was tiny but very clean. The duvets were too thin for winter, so we had to get a blanket from the car. The large communal kitchen was well equipped, but there’s no sign asking people to close the door while cooking. When we arrived, someone was making an oriental dish, and its smell spread through the whole house. There was activity at 11 pm too. Quiet hours would be nice. It’s a matter of organization. There’s no reception, so you have to take care of things yourself. There’s still room for improvement.
