The owner didn’t take our feedback seriously, and the stay was just horrible. There was hair from previous guests everywhere, and flushing the toilet brought wastewater back up from underneath it. The curtains fell down when I tried to roll them up, and there was a wasp nest beside the bedroom. At breakfast, guests all share a table, and eggs weren’t offered unless you asked. I really don’t understand the five-star reviews. Never again.

For €130 a night, I’d strongly suggest skipping this place. The apartment was outdated, though that wouldn’t have mattered if it had been properly cleaned and maintained. The bathroom was dusty and had long hairs from previous guests. In the middle of the night I found the separate toilet floor wet, apparently from a leak when flushing that brought wastewater back onto the floor. There was also a wasp nest in the attic by the second bedroom, with dead wasps all over, and the stairs up there felt odd and dangerous. At breakfast, everyone was seated together at one table, and eggs weren’t offered until we asked. When I told the owner about the problems at checkout, he seemed disinterested, like he couldn’t care less. I usually trust reviews, but I really don’t understand why this B&B is rated so highly.

Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and served with real care. We were also warmly welcomed, and our room was lovely and very clean. We spent three days at Haus Tourneur in October 2025 and would happily return. Thank you so much, Family Tourneur. We highly recommend Haus Tourneur.
