Most of the staff were nice, but I was still treated in a way that felt racist during my stay. While I was sitting in the kitchen, a staff member asked why I’d thrown trash everywhere. I told him I hadn’t. He said I was the only woman there the previous night, but I’d also spoken with someone else at the hostel, and that person was a woman. I don’t know how this happened. I felt offended and scared, and disrespected by being publicly accused of something I hadn’t done. I told another gentleman what happened; he understood completely and felt sorry for me, since he’d also been there for those few days. This was a very bad experience. I feel they are racist. It’s sad, inappropriate, and shameful.

The single beds were super comfy, and the hostel had everything I needed. Simon was amazing and so helpful, arranging a late check-in and extending my stay with hardly any effort. Absolutely fantastic hostel.

There was a good vibe, if you could get past the rest. It’s a pub that turns into a disco on weekends, which defeats its own purpose, and there seems to be a dress code. Drinks cost too much compared with other places, and the beer glasses don’t suit the beers they serve.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and both the room and shower were spotless and comfortable. Arriving late was no problem either, since I could easily pick up my room key from the office inside the pub.

A nice Irish pub, with lots of TVs for watching soccer.
