Base1 Hotel Grenzblick

The breakfast was good, and the receptionist was very nice. Those are the only reasons I’m giving it two stars. We stayed one night, and that was enough. The building looks shocking from the outside. Our room floor had holes, there was a terrible-looking hole in the ceiling where a light fixture should be, and the towels were stained. We got only two towels for a booking of three people.

It was fine for a night, though the place is simple. I could hear the TV a little from next door, and the wall had some small damage. The breakfast was really good, served in another, nicer building. The staff were kind and helpful.

For the price, it was absolutely worth it. The room was newly renovated and clean, and the staff were friendly. I could hear people walking in the hallway, but otherwise everything was totally fine.

Breakfast was a real plus, with hot dishes and plenty of different things to choose from. We also had free parking and Wi-Fi, and the location worked well, with lots of different restaurants an easy walk away. The hotel is only 200 meters from the D/CH border.
