A good option for work trips: the Wi-Fi was fast, the room felt comfortable for working, and the hospitality was good. At first, breakfast cost 10€ extra, though the overall rate was quite reasonable at 75/80€ per night by the Swiss border. Add-on from 2019: it seems the management changed, and one improvement is that breakfast now comes with the room.

The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the rooms and hotel were clean. It’s a handy spot right by the Swiss border, with Basel a short drive away. There’s plenty of parking out front, plus a conference room and a bar. The staff were wonderful, and it’s child and pet friendly. 👌

We found a lovely, cozy place for delicious German food about 750m away, Stettemer Wiikeller. I’d recommend the cordon bleu with spätzle. The Chinese restaurant at the hotel wasn’t open while we were there. Breakfast was simple and included, and we were very satisfied with it. The hotel was very clean, the staff were friendly, and Wi-Fi was free.

The staff were disrespectful and racist, and I had a terrible experience. Someone named Özalan may suddenly knock on your door and threaten you.

The front desk staff were polite, but the service was only average. The rooms have bad architecture, there was no shampoo, and parking spaces were limited. Very, very expensive!
