The one good thing was that it was always clean. Otherwise, I had a bad experience at this hostel. I was hungry for days because rice was all they had on the menu, and the owner was very unfriendly. Our room slept six but came with just one key. There were key lockers for each person, but we weren’t given any keys for them.

The kids enjoyed the giant chess and the outdoor play area. The food and beds were adequate, and it was what you’d expect from a DJH youth hostel. I’d suggest having something for the children indoors when it rains, like a playroom or kicker table.

The food choices are limited, and there’s Wi-Fi only in the lobby. The door gets locked after 10, and there are no security cameras. The cleaning lady refuses to clean, even though that’s her f**king job.

There wasn’t much variety in the food, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all poor.
