Ferienwohnung Lohra

Great 👍

We’ll definitely come back. It’s a lovely, very clean apartment and felt like home straight away, with a really affordable price. There’s no Wi-Fi, though. It’s a good base for seeing Marburg and the area around it.

If you’re out all day and mainly need somewhere to sleep, the attic apartment in Lohra can work for exploring Marburg and nearby places. It has plenty of amenities, but I found it uncomfortable, especially with children, so I wouldn’t recommend it for families. The beds were uncomfortable too, and new mattresses might help. It was generally clean, though not spotless. The building is older, which wasn’t a big issue for me. There’s a clear difference between the two apartments, though: the first-floor one has a proper bathroom and a living room, while the attic apartment has neither. For us, it was adequate for sleeping and exploring, but little beyond that.

The beds were extremely uncomfortable, and I wouldn’t stay here again. New mattresses might be a good idea. The house is showing its age, which is okay once you’re inside, but I wish the apartment had been cleaned first. There were water stains on the faucet that didn’t look like they came from cleaning, toothpaste on the tiles, dust bunnies under the bed, bloodstains on a pillow, and cobwebs on the ceilings and lamps. If you don’t look too closely or mind those things, it might suit you.
