The food was another nice touch: they serve meat from healthy animals. There’s lots of room for children to run, plus a quiet setting, easy transport connections and a pond where you can swim, canoe or paddleboard. We had a lovely, restful holiday. The apartment could use a few furnishing improvements, like adding pot lids.

My children had a great time playing with the two dogs, and the hosts were friendly throughout our stay. The home itself has a lovely character and a thoughtfully furnished interior that makes it easy to unwind. It’s peaceful, with a lake nearby on the estate that’s great for boating.

Families of all ages will find it welcoming, and Dresden and Leipzig are easy to reach when you want a city visit. The place has plenty of charm and is a lovely choice if you’re looking to relax.
