Hotel Schweizer Hof

The room was comfortable and very clean, and I slept well for a very low price. On weekends you get access with a key from an outside lockbox, so be sure to book in advance.

The price was nowhere near good value. The rooms felt completely uninviting and not cozy at all. There was a TV, but it wasn't connected to either electricity or satellite cable.

Being overbooked was a relief in the end, since it meant we got a decent alternative. The rooms were dirty and in generally deplorable condition, and our double booking made it impossible to stay. I’ve never encountered such a terrible place. It didn’t feel like a proper hotel, more like rooms for tradespeople that are rented out on weekends when the workers aren’t there. I strongly advise against this so-called hotel.

There’s a cozy café nearby for breakfast, since the hotel doesn’t serve it. I could keep my e-bike in a lockable garage, though charging wasn’t possible there and had to be done in the room. The room was tiny, but it had a toilet, shower, and TV, and was enough for one night. The price was fairly cheap. It felt more like a stopover hotel, probably used by construction workers, and it got noisy early in the morning as they left. That’s not something I can blame the landlord for.
