The atmosphere is friendly, and the food is great. Sometimes I stop in just for an ice-cold beer, other times I stay for a meal. The service is excellent. Well done.

I couldn't even ask about a room because the receptionist refused to speak English. She said, "this is Germany. Bye," then hung up.

The detour off the B96 was well worth it. We were hungry on our way home and were welcomed by the friendly chef and owner, who told us to sit wherever we liked. The menu came almost as soon as we sat down, and we quickly settled on roast venison with red cabbage and dumplings. It was excellent, just couldn't have been better. Thanks to the kitchen, we loved it. As for anyone who complains, they should try doing better themselves.

The owners were so friendly, and the homemade coffee and cake were delicious. The place feels like stepping back in time, though that didn't take away from the experience. I should have tried the Thuringian Rostbrätel. Definitely recommend it. 👍

We've been coming back for 11 years, which says a lot. The food is excellent and fairly priced, the cozy rooms have a lovely atmosphere, and the service is very friendly. A truly wonderful restaurant, highly recommended.
