The reception was really welcoming, and everyone we met was cheerful and friendly. The hotel was fine too. It’s a calm, pretty village, a nice place to stay 👍

The room works for a night or two, though the carpets and interior are due for an update.

2/10

At 5:30 in the morning we woke to smoke and a lot of noise. We sleep with the window open, and the thick smoke coming from a chimney outside it and straight into the room had us worried we might suffocate. The noise carried on until just before 8:00. Breakfast was included. On the first morning there was a buffet with pre-baked rolls, which was adequate. The next morning, apparently because we were the only guests, the table was set very sparsely. The rest of the stay was disappointing too: the toilet wouldn't flush properly, neither the TV nor internet worked, and cleanliness was lacking. We booked two nights on-site and can't recommend this hotel.

There was no usable TV reception, just static or no channels, and no internet either. I only stayed one night after booking at short notice. The room and bed were okay, the bathroom was clean, though the towels were quite faded.
