Mörike

The main drawback was the pillow, which was much too big and high. A choice would have helped, or even one medium-sized pillow. Parking is limited to four spaces, so you might need to look on the nearby residential streets, where parking is free. The room itself was clean and tidy, with basic but fairly modern decor, a comfortable bed, and a good ensuite bathroom with a thermostatic shower. WiFi worked well in the room. Reception staff were pleasant, and you can walk to the town centre. It’s also near the autobahn, which makes access easy.

I stayed for one night on a short trip to Ludwigsburg. The staff were very kind, and my room was clean. WiFi was great in the lobby at 300 Mbit / 30 Mbit, though it could be better in the rooms, perhaps with a repeater. Even if reception is closed, late check-in can be arranged in advance using the key safe.

The room and bathroom were clean, but the room was extremely small. The TV is mounted so high that it’s hard to watch anything from the bed. Connecting through HDMI wasn’t possible, and there was no Bluetooth. I’d recommend it only to people who aren’t claustrophobic.

The heating didn’t work properly during my stay, and breakfast was below average. Getting to Feuerbach took nearly 45 minutes each day. The hotel is far from Ludwigsburg, with too few restaurants nearby. I chose it for a week because there wasn’t accommodation near Feuerbach, and I won’t stay here again. The rooms are very cramped, with barely enough room for a bed and table. There’s just one cupboard, too few power outlets, and a small bathroom. The few positives were a free bottle of drinking water each day and fast WiFi. I can’t understand who gave this hotel a three-star rating.
