Wildnisresidenz am Nationalpark

The friendly hosts made us feel welcome, and we slept wonderfully in this spacious, clean apartment, which has all the comforts you could want. The location is great: you can walk straight into the forest, and the train station is less than five minutes away for exploring other parts of the nature area. There’s loads to do nearby, and we’d recommend the castles just across the Czech border too. Fantastic apartment!

We spent Christmas here and even found a Christmas tree waiting for us. The apartment was beautifully decorated, fully equipped, and in a perfect spot, with a great bread delivery service. The owners were very friendly, and we had a wonderful stay. Thank you so much!

The welcome was very friendly at first, and there were toys for the children. But then we found mold in several rooms and on the mattress in our "Mediterranean"-themed apartment, and the friendly attitude disappeared. We got only curt replies and no proposed solution. After several hours, the underfloor heating was still barely working, and it didn’t work at all in the bedrooms. It was 13.5 degrees Celsius. The owners blamed us for that too, saying we’d left the apartment open too long. They claimed there was only a tiny bit of mold in each room, which was laughable. It seemed to us they weren’t renovating and were just raking in the money. I can’t make sense of the positive reviews unless they’re about the second apartment, which we can’t comment on.

The wildlife enclosures in the forest are free to enter and just a 15-minute walk away, even with a dog, whether you go early in the morning or late in the evening. It’s a fantastic spot for long walks. We had our baby with us and were given a cot, and the apartment was decorated for Christmas throughout December. It was exceptionally clean and modern, and the hosts were very welcoming. We’d absolutely recommend staying here. We only wish we’d booked a longer stay. :) Thanks for a wonderful short break!
