Room n.1 was spacious and warm, with a private bathroom and a good bed. The pension is clean, comfortable and quite close to the city center, maybe a 10-minute walk. The downside is the arrival process: you have to call the property, and they tell you the building entry code and your room number. What if you can’t make a phone call? It would be better if they emailed the code.

There was no key when we arrived during check-in hours. The number in the receipt email didn’t work, so we found another number at the pension and called it. A man said he’d drive over with a key, but it took an hour. Once we got into the room, it smelled so strongly of smoke that all our clothes stank afterward. Wouldn’t recommend!

The rooms are cheap, clean, and have a good bathroom. The pension santorini doesn’t look too good from the outside, but inside it was actually okay. The location is very good, about a 15-minute walk to Lübeck city center.

They charged me twice! At checkout, an employee said I owed €80 in cash, and I paid it. After I got home, I found another €88 charge on my credit card too. Quite a “surprise.” What a bad hotel!

The first time I stayed, the room was good. When I booked that same room again, the owner promised it would be the same one, but when I arrived he gave me a bad room in the basement. Be aware, he broke that promise and you could end up with a poor room.
