The breakfast buffet was good, fried eggs included, and the meal was great apart from pork fillets that were tough as shoe leather. The staff were lovely and the room was clean and perfectly fine. Good value for a cyclist or rambler looking to keep costs down.

The room was quiet, though it felt dated and the lighting was creepy. The shower was small, too. This might work for a few work nights, but I wouldn't choose it for a holiday. The place feels stuck around 2000, with nothing new or modern. The food wasn't very good, and I found breakfast poor. Nobody speaks English, so even though they try to be nice, it's hard to understand each other. There's no English menu in the restaurant.

The rooms were clean, but this place only makes sense if you want a retro feel. If you're after the usual modern hotel experience, I'd stay elsewhere. That old fashioned look and atmosphere are what earn Hotel Christine four stars from me.

We had plenty of parking behind the hotel, and they let our dog stay too. The rooms were cute and well kept, breakfast was good, and the service was really friendly.
