The setting is fantastic, with views over Bad Pyrmont, a lovely garden for sitting outside, and cozy seats indoors. The place is beautifully decorated for Christmas, Easter, and other occasions. The cakes look tempting, but the sponge between the cream layers was dry and old, with a cardboard-like taste. Such a shame they aren't freshly made like cakes at other local cafes.

Deer sometimes graze within 5 metres of the outdoor seating, which is nature at its best. The Hof sits high on a hill above Bad Pyrmont, with statues, artifacts, plants, and Bavarian-style huts across the grounds. It's a traditional German hotel and restaurant, with a mostly German menu at very reasonable prices and parking right out front. Service has that traditional feel too, and Kaffe Kuchen is popular. My family liked it as well.

A pleasant place for a stay with family or friends. There's a restaurant, a garden, and a sauna.
