The breakfast buffet had plenty of fresh, tasty choices, and it was easy to find something I liked. My only small gripe was the bar: drinks had to be ordered and paid for there instead of being added to the room, which felt a little awkward. The hotel is right in the heart of Magdeburg, so exploring on foot was easy. Check-in was quick, and the staff were welcoming. My room was small, but clean, well cared for, and arranged cleverly enough to feel comfortable for a night's sleep. I’d happily consider staying at Motel One Magdeburg again.

I stayed twice in one week and had a different room each time. Both were spotless, though one was a bit larger. The bathrooms were equally clean and modern, but a little cramped. There was no fridge or anything to make a drink in the rooms, and no complimentary tea, coffee, or water. Breakfast was nice and had a good selection. The first room opened onto a small seating area, while the upstairs room had a beautiful view of the Dom. It's a clean, modern, beautiful hotel in the heart of Magdeburg, right beside the Dom. I'd definitely recommend the Hotel One in Magdeburg.

The bar has an impressive range of gins and tonics, definitely worth trying. Parking is available, but you can also use the neighboring street spaces, which are free on weekends. Everything was great, though the room felt a little tight, as is usual for Motel Ones.

The room was unbearably hot, and the bed was so soft that our backs hurt a lot the next day. The pillows weren't comfortable either, and the synthetic bedding prickled our skin all night. The hotel itself is lovely and centrally located, with a good breakfast and attentive staff. Pets are welcome for €5/night.
