H2 Hotel Mainz

The shower curtain didn’t do much, so after a shower the bathroom floor was covered in water. Aside from that, the room was cozy and clean, with thick curtains that blocked out the light perfectly. The staff were welcoming and very friendly, and having reception open 24/7 was really convenient. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. It’s in a stylish part of the city, about a 30-minute walk from the center. I’d definitely recommend the hotel and stay again.

The restaurant and breakfast were great, the room layout was comfortable, and I really liked the decor. Friendly, helpful staff too. I love this chain, it’s my new favorite. It’s a 20-30 minute walk to the main old town area and Mainz Cathedral, and getting to carnevale was easy. I’d choose it again.

This hotel and brand really surprised me. It felt like an Ibis Styles for an Ibis Budget price. The room was modern, spacious, very clean, comfortable, and quiet, with a Gutenberg theme. A double room was 63€ per night and included a full breakfast. I’ll stay again, no brainer.

The hotel is between the city and my workplace, so it suited me well, even though I had to walk a bit. It’s beside the harbour and river, and my room had a nice view. The hotel was brand new and everything was good. Staff were very nice, and cleaning every three days was efficient. When I had a problem with the sink, someone came quickly to help. Breakfast was very good, a German style breakfast, and it was a good experience tasting the dishes. Public transport is very convenient if you have a pass or ticket. The main station in Mainz isn’t too far, though getting there on foot takes some effort. 😊
