Hilton Mainz

The hotel is in great shape, and the staff are incredible. The front desk was patient and extremely helpful. Breakfast staff did a great job clearing and directing, but dinner service may have been the highlight, with Lena giving terrific attention to the details of our orders. We’re currently Gold members and enjoy the associated perks. The details may change, so I won’t list them. Ask at check-in, though the desk will likely tell you if you call ahead. Given the chance, we’ll return to this sight.

Karina made check-in feel thoughtful and sincere, and set a great tone for my stay. She was patient, professional, and genuinely friendly, taking time to answer all my questions without rushing me. She also made an extra effort to help me feel comfortable and settled. Karina represents the hotel exceptionally well.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious, among the best I’ve had in Germany, and the staff were very nice. I had a fantastic stay at the Hilton Mainz during a congress in the same building. My room had been renovated very recently and looked beautiful in its new blue tones. It was very comfortable, with a huge mattress and a wireless charging device next to the bed. I really recommend staying here. Thanks for a great stay!

For a business trip, I had a good stay at the Hilton Mainz, and I’d consider coming back for the location, breakfast, and meeting facilities. The hotel is right on the river, with lovely views and an easy walk to the city centre. The meeting rooms were excellent, breakfast was surprisingly good, and the conference lunch and dinner buffet was exceptional. My room was clean and quiet, but several things needed attention. The heating didn’t work, and it took about an hour and a half and three calls to reception for someone to fix it. A few hours later it failed again, and the only solution offered was a small space heater. The hair dryer was also broken. I called reception three times without an answer, then borrowed one from a colleague’s room. WiFi kept cutting out, especially in the evenings. Room amenities were minimal, and during cleaning the water bottles weren’t replenished. The empty ones were just left there. Dinner in the restaurant was disappointing compared with the breakfast and conference catering. The schnitzel was bland, the fries oily, and the mushroom sauce quite sour. In winter especially, I’d expect basic room functions like heating and WiFi, and the appliances, to be checked more carefully.
