Hotel Gut Immenhof

The spa was the highlight of our weekend: peaceful, idyllic, and looking out over the lake, just what my wife and I wanted. The staff were friendly and always ready to help, too. We stayed in a Garden Apartment, a two bedroom house with a kitchen, dining and living area downstairs, and two double bedrooms upstairs. There was also a private terrace at the back with a table, chairs, and direct lake access. The water was far too cold for a swim in April. Everything in the apartment and across the resort was finished to a very high standard. We'd both been looking forward to our April weekend at Hotel Gut Immenhof. I knew the restaurant from two earlier visits with a close friend nearby, and I remembered Gut Rothensande before its renovation. My expectations were high, but the place exceeded them by a long way. Even with less than perfect weather, we had a wonderful time. Breakfast was probably the best I've ever had. Dinner in the restaurant was outstanding, and the stylish cocktail bar in the main building served excellent drinks. It was our first time at Gut Immenhof, but definitely not the last. Thanks to everyone!

Breakfast and dinner were both lovely, and the room was comfortable and elegant. The grounds are lovely too. A charming overnight stay in a lakeside Hof, highly recommended.

The terrace sits right by the shore, and I've stopped there several times for coffee and cake. Kellersee near Malente is a beautiful setting, and there's free parking. The site of the 50s “Immenhof” movies has been restored to today's standards. Definitely worth a visit.

A great setting. I walked around to look at the stable and main house, but it was so cold that sitting outside wasn't really an option.
