Hotel Landhaus Krummsee

The long history of Landhaus Krummsee shows in a few charming signs of age, but they hardly take away from its welcoming feel. We miss the breakfast we used to enjoy, as it's no longer offered. Still, the friendly service and pleasant surroundings make a stay special. We first came in summer 2024 and Martina and Thomas gave us a warm welcome. We met Elena, the new property manager, in autumn 2024, when she worked hard to make sure we were comfortable. We returned in summer 2025 and were pleased to find Elena managing the property together with Matti. With its lovely location and cozy atmosphere, Landhaus Krummsee remains a wonderful place to relax and recharge. We highly recommend it.

You do need a car, otherwise there's a lot of walking. Fehmarn is about an hour away. Our hostess was lovely, incredibly friendly, kind, and good with families. We had a relaxing break from therapy, and if you're after peace and quiet, this is just the place. There was still construction and restructuring going on, but it didn't bother us.

From arrival to departure, the warmth and hospitality stayed with me. Elena, your radiant kindness and tireless care made me feel part of the community and made every moment feel like a gift. I've stayed there six times, and always found it a wonderful place to unwind. It has been renovated and is beautifully furnished. This is no longer a country house hotel. It's now part of a respite care center where families with children who have cancer, disabilities, or have died can rest and recover. From 2019 to 2024, a lovely family kept the house up with donations and ran it. It's truly wonderful. Since September 2024, a young woman has been managing it. I don't know her or what changes have been made to the building, so I can't confirm that my earlier description is still accurate.
