Hotel im Kornspeicher

The management’s response to my rating says cancellation is free, but cancellation at this hotel is not free, like most hotels on booking.com. They described my behavior as “aggressive,” but I was only objecting to the welcome, their attitude, and poor service. On the first day, I said I would write a negative review, and the receptionist just shrugged. We stayed for three nights, and the room was cleaned after each night. If I had left it excessively untidy, there were two chances to raise that before final check-out, but nothing was said. If a guest really leaves a room in such a condition that it takes two days to clean, the hotel can claim damages. They didn’t do that. I also happened to see before checking out that the hotel was listed as fully booked for the nights after my stay, so they clearly rented the room out.

It worked perfectly for me, even though it isn’t especially close to downtown. A great place to stay in Marburg.

The "Kornspeicher" Hotel was a nice stop on my bike trip. The people were gentle, and I had a quiet, comfortable stay. It’s a good starting point for sightseeing in Marburg, and cyclists will appreciate the wonderful modern bike shed.

The rooms were very large, modern, and clean, but much too warm and far too noisy, right beside a train line in an industry park. The staff were unfriendly on the first day of my stay.
