We’ve stayed here several times a year for years, and it’s about a 10-minute walk to the heritage centre. The rooms are spacious and nicely furnished, the beds are good, and the facilities, surroundings, and staff are all pleasant. It’s a city hotel, not a wellness retreat: the pool is small and the water is chilly, with little of a wellness feel. Company events are popular here, so there can be busy, noisy parties late at night. Ask for a quiet room if that matters. Breakfast can get crowded, even jammed at full capacity, and there are no regional products. Garage parking is limited. There’s usually space, but arriving late when the hotel is full can make parking difficult.

What made us feel most welcome was the dining room service. Lin looked after us each morning, making sure we had coffee and tea, refilling our water bottles, and checking often if we needed anything. Her smile and friendliness made a real difference. The whole stay was enjoyable, and both the location and rooms were beautiful.

The restaurant was good, breakfast was great, and there was plenty of parking with an EV charger. Staff gave us an excellent welcome. The hotel was quiet and well maintained inside and out, with modern, comprehensive facilities. The room was big, though it could have used one or two more lamps.

The rooms were comfortable and quiet, and the facilities were high quality, from the fitness center to the 360 bar. Great hotel. Book a massage ahead of time.
