Hotel Marburger Hof

The staff member who helped me at check-in made me feel welcome straight away. She showed me where to enter the parking area, marked a route to the old city on a map, and suggested lots of nearby restaurants. She was an absolute gem on the team. This is a classy, charming traditional hotel that’s well maintained, with convenient on-site parking. Thick windows, walls, and a double door kept noise from reaching my room. Breakfast was a great buffet, and there was a nice terrace. I loved the funny little robot helping at the breakfast bar. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Marburg.

I had a very good night’s sleep here while in the area for business. The rooms are new, spacious, and clean, and breakfast was great. The only snag was that the garage was full, so I had to park in a nearby public garage, which was a bit of a bummer. I loved the old-fashioned hotel lobby, it feels stuck in the 90s. The guy at reception in the evening was very welcoming. Thanks!

The staff we met were all friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent, with plenty of fresh and interesting options and great coffee. We especially appreciated being able to leave the car in the underground garage for a modest fee. The room was clean, the bedding was high quality and fresh, and the bathroom had been updated. The hotel is in a great spot: an easy walk to the old part of the city, its restaurants and shops, and then up to the castle. We were very pleased.

The room was warm and comfortable, and I was really happy with my stay. Breakfast was great, with enough to set me up for a full day out walking. The staff were fantastic and so helpful. It was an easy walk into town, with the town square nearby and public transport close by. The train station is also within walking distance.
