The calm atmosphere and the homely feel made this a wonderful, relaxing stay. Erik & Rita welcomed us warmly for our two nights, and in the morning when we left, she waved goodbye until we disappeared, just like our parents would. Hey Berliners, and everyone else, I'd highly recommend this place. It felt better than a star hotel. There are countless places nearby for walks, hikes, and time in nature. You can also drive to Czech Republic in 20 minutes for an inexpensive meal. I'm pretty sure staying here will make it onto your list of best memories!

We were glad this was just a one-night stop. The guesthouse was very inexpensive, and that showed in the basic breakfast and the room. The room was adequately sized and the bed was fine, but the bathroom was unacceptable: cramped, outdated, and barely heated, which made showering a challenge.

It's a simple guesthouse with plenty of heart and charm, though not a luxurious place. The room had a refrigerator, coffee, and tea, and the staff were incredibly friendly and happy to meet every request. Breakfast included freshly baked bread.

The owner is so dedicated and friendly, and the guesthouse has a lovely charm. They can even cook dinner on request, which is handy if you're hiking and can't or don't want to walk back out. Excellent service! 👍🏻

I spent a night at the Rübenau Inn on my ridge hike, and it was the best stop of the whole trip. The owners weren't there, but their girlfriend, who runs the inn, looked after me so warmly and lovingly that I felt completely at ease. She cooked a vegetarian dinner for me, and breakfast was delicious. Since there aren't any places to buy supplies on the next stretch of my hike, she also packed me a lunch. The house and its furnishings are charming, with everything you need. I've rarely felt this comfortable in a guesthouse! 😁
