The kids had both the pool and the lake to enjoy, and the surrounding nature was exceptional. The toilets and showers were very clean, too. I really liked staying here. For a full five stars, shopping for everyday groceries would need to be easier. We had to go to Löbben every other day to stock up.

We had a camping barrel for a couple of nights. It was basic, but affordable and worked well for us. There are only two on site, tucked into a separate, tree filled area with natural shade. Ours had a double bed, linen and an outdoor table. Staff were around regularly, and we felt welcome and looked after. The setting outside Grosse Leuthen is peaceful and idyllic, around 20 kilometers from Lübben. The shuttle bus runs there three times daily and was efficient and reasonably priced, but otherwise there’s no public transport connection. We found that a bit awkward. With a car, it seems like a good place for a quiet, affordable break. Without one, I’d look for somewhere with better transport links. The facilities are modest: a small shop with limited stock, a restaurant open for a few afternoon hours, a playground and a small outdoor pool. The sanitary building was clean, pleasant and well kept. I’d have liked more choice in the shop, especially as there aren’t other shops nearby, and longer restaurant hours would have helped too.

We spent more than a week here and enjoyed every day. It’s a really nice, spacious campsite in Spreewald, with activities for children and organized shuttle trips to different places. There’s also a lake right beside the site with a very good beach.

A very quiet overnight stop for our motorhome. In August 2017 it cost 8 euros, including electricity and use of the toilet and shower block. That rate was limited to one night. The touring pitches are quite a long walk from the toilets and showers.
