We stayed in February, when it was very quiet, and could still sit comfortably in the outdoor seating area. The house was clean, charmingly decorated and had comprehensive amenities. We really enjoyed the stay and our contact with the owners. Shops and restaurants are a bit of a walk away, but that was fine with us.

The bungalows are great, but there’s no direct access to the lake beach. Finding somewhere to swim meant driving quite a way and knowing the area. It’s also incredibly noisy here. Instead of feeling peaceful and relaxed, it felt like being on holiday in a construction zone.

We’ve stayed in Alt Schadow several times, and this visit gave us another few quiet days in a little house beside the large lake. It’s a lovely retreat for a couple wanting some peace during these turbulent times. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. We’d happily return.

This was our second visit, and it was just as great as the first. The house and hosts are wonderful, and the area is fantastic. Thanks, Oppermann family, for a lovely vacation. We’ll definitely be back. The new accommodations in Preschen look amazing, by the way. Keep up the good work!

The holiday home had everything we could need, and the area is great for walks and bike rides. A fantastic place for a holiday. For a tasty meal, try The field kitchen in the woods. They even serve rice pudding :-)
