The lake is easy to get to, and Tri-Galeria is perfect for picking up vacation supplies. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable and tastefully furnished. A fully automatic coffee machine is unusual, especially at this price. But getting into bed takes some effort, since there’s only room to reach it from the foot and no space on either side. The nearby tram’s rumbling turnaround noise was truly annoying, so we’re very unlikely to book again, though we’d certainly like to return to Markkleeberg. We also lost a star over the cleaning lady’s unfriendly, irritated manner. She had to wait five minutes while we, as visually impaired guests, left at 10:05 instead of 10:00. I didn’t deduct another point, but the touch-screen hotplates deserve mention: I know they’re modern, but they can be a major obstacle for people with visual impairments or blindness, to the point of making the stove unusable. Apartment owners might consider a cheaper option that’s also wheelchair accessible. Sometimes less is more. Despite these issues, it was a nice, pleasant stay.

We had to cancel our stay for health reasons, so we never actually stayed at the accommodation. I was very unhappy with the landlord’s customer service during the cancellation. When they hadn’t received the request I’d sent through Booking.com, they unfriendlyly sent me back to Booking.com and said there was nothing they could do. Later I needed an informal confirmation for my travel cancellation insurance that the apartment hadn’t been re-let. I asked twice by email and once by phone, but got no response. I’m still waiting. This is terrible customer service!

We weren't fully won over by the apartment. It's clean and nicely furnished, and the courtyard parking is handy, though the spaces feel a little tight. The tram noise takes some getting used to, and check-in may take a bit longer.

The bathroom water pressure was the one drawback. Otherwise, it's spacious and highly recommendable, with the tram stop right next door.

This is a very cozy vacation apartment, though anyone with trouble walking should avoid it. The owner never got back to us, and we were lucky the helpful woman at the corner shop managed to get us the apartment code. Without her, we would've had to sleep in the car. Six stars for her! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
