The owners also run Das Grüne Pferd just below Hotel Wandinger Hof Markt Schwaben, and it made the stay feel complete. You can get coffee, cakes, ice cream, beer, and excellent bread there, along with breakfast in the morning or wine in the evening. My family and I stayed during the change of ownership, and the new owners made us feel welcome and comfortable. They were warm, kind, and attentive, and despite the busy transition everything ran smoothly. It was clear they care about their guests. We're looking forward to seeing how they continue to shape the place. We'll definitely be back next year and highly recommend staying here. Our stay at Hotel Wandinger Hof on October 3rd, 2025 was disappointing from beginning to end, and I strongly advise future guests to avoid it. We made the booking at 15:36 and arrived shortly afterward, but no receptionist was at the desk. We waited around 10 minutes for him to return from a café next door. He couldn't find our reservation and said our booked room was no longer available, so check-in took another 26 minutes. It was difficult to communicate because he didn't speak English. We were given a room far smaller than advertised. During a call, Booking.com support confirmed we should have had a room of around 20 m², and that ours was much smaller. The toilet didn't work properly, and the air conditioner was taped off and unusable. We didn't check in until 16:12, and the room fell short of even basic expectations. Booking.com acknowledged our complaint and confirmed the room type was wrong, but the hotel refused a refund or compensation. I've rarely had such a disappointing stay: poor service, misleading room descriptions, and management taking no responsibility.

The location was great, in a quiet, picturesque town. The room, though, smelled like an old people's home and was too warm, with no AC or fan provided. The refrigerator was very loud and seemed to heat the room like an element. Parking was another problem: although they say they have parking, we couldn't find a spot when we arrived late, and no extra information was given about parking on the street. Overall, it was okay.

The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. What stood out most was how friendly the staff were. They'd only recently taken over from the previous owners, and they were very kind and helpful.
