This was the best German/Bavarian meal I’ve ever had. It’s family owned and run, with a great wine selection from the local area and Italy. I liked my first dinner so much that I came back the second night to try something different. The Schnitzel on night one and the really succulent duck on night two were both satisfying. The mushroom soup is great too, and be sure to ask about the schnapps!

The food was great, but our waitress had an unpleasant attitude, which took away from what could have been a great experience.

Family Pelzer serves excellent international food in this picturesque castle, with a lovely choice of drinks to go with it. The menu changes partly with the seasons and features dishes from places including the US, Spain, and India. A list of additives and allergens would make the experience perfect.

I went in one evening with my son to pick up our food. While we waited, he asked one of the staff member a whole stream of questions, and they kindly answered every one. You won’t find friendlier staff within 50 kilometers. If I’m ordering Schnitzel, this is the only restaurant I’ll choose. Reserve a table, you won’t be disappointed.
