The staff were consistently friendly and professional, and Team Leader Tyar was the hotel’s standout asset. An exceptional employee and leader who clearly knows the business well. I was initially disappointed to be diverted to Heubach hoch hotel after booking Werrapark Frankenblick hotel, but the rooms and the whole hotel were outstandingly clean for such a nostalgic place.

The forest around the hotel is so cut down and diseased that my son said it looked like a cemetery of nature. I don’t know what’s causing it, but it wasn’t what we hoped to see, and I sincerely hope the forest can recover. The hotel’s location is otherwise fine. There are useful family facilities on the ground floor, including table football, a pool table, and a playroom for younger children, plus a pool suitable for families. The fitness center can be used outside its stated hours, too. Food choices aren’t extensive, but the food is decent and staff keep replenishing it. Still, the hotel needs renovation. The furniture is old and unnecessarily bulky in already small rooms, there’s an unpleasant smell on the staircase, and the toilet hygiene could be better, especially in the shower cabin. The pillows were terrible, and the extra bed was unusable because the child could feel every spring in the mattress. The parking lot has no lighting in the evening and turns muddy in rain. On top of the booking price, we paid a tax of 6€ per day and 16 € for 2 juices and 1 beer, while the menu prices were much lower.
