The place wasn't clean, and the meal was a letdown too. We waited about an hour, then got food that was lukewarm and far too heavily seasoned. When we mentioned it, the server snapped that nobody else had complained and that we should eat somewhere else. The staff were unfriendly, and that response was completely unacceptable. Guests shouldn't be treated that way, and I want others to know so they can avoid eating here. This guesthouse doesn't deserve even one star.

I ended up chatting over a beer with the owner and his friend before heading off again. Though the place was open, it didn't seem ready for guests yet since the season hadn't started. His wife had gone shopping and he was working in the garden, but I was still able to get something to eat. There wasn't much choice, understandably, but what I had was delicious.

The newly renovated parts were done with great taste, and the new beds were fantastic. The family was very friendly, and breakfast was perfectly adequate. The accommodation was superb overall and excellent value for money. Highly recommended.
