Villa Althaus

We especially liked the owners, who were friendly and attentive, and the separate room with its bar, refrigerator, and covered terrace. It’s a comfortable spot to spend time together, and everything you need is provided. The villa is clean, in a great location, and has several apartments, so it works really well for large groups or family gatherings. There are plenty of nearby places to visit. I’d definitely recommend it.

There’s lots to do nearby even if you don’t ski or there’s no snow, and the guesthouse sits in a quiet village where nights are peaceful. My colleagues and I had a fantastic weekend at Dirk and Yvette’s place. The bar was so welcoming, and the rooms and apartments, even whole floors, were more than spacious enough. Everything was tidy, the beds were comfortable, and the accommodation was very well equipped. I think the whole group would agree it’s a beautiful guesthouse.

We had such a good time that we booked the house again after staying there four weeks earlier. The second visit went smoothly too. There were ten of us, with plenty of room, beds, and showers. The kitchen had everything from an oven, microwave, stove, coffee maker, kettle, and dishwasher to all the dishes. There’s also a nicely furnished bar that’s great for a party, plus garden seating and a small terrace. The owner is friendly and helpful, and the villa’s location is fantastic, with lovely hiking trails and beautiful views. It worked for our group, and I’d recommend it to people young or old. We’ll be back.

A bus stop right next to the house made getting around easy, and on Saturdays you can get to Willingen from there. We booked for a bachelor party with 13 people, and everyone was more than happy. Dirk was relaxed and accommodating, even though we were definitely a bit loud at times during the night. If we head to Willingen again, we’ll book with him. Thanks, Dirk.
