We stopped in as the sun was going down. The two people serving us were lovely, the cakes were delicious, and the atmosphere was really relaxing. A perfect spot to watch the November sunset over Bodensee. As others have mentioned, they only take cash. We always checked, since Germany has historically tended to prefer cash over cards.

We walked into this cafe in meerburg and loved the atmosphere. The terrace was beautiful and very comfortable, and the homemade pastry was delicious. My family and I really enjoyed the cake.

A few years ago we had a nice meal on the lovely terrace. This time we stopped inside for coffee and cake, and were very disappointed. The cake was uninteresting, and the service, which I think was from the new owners, was shockingly bad. There was no sign saying cash only, but they refused to take cards, even debit. They also wouldn't let us swap tea for coffee in the special offer. We're not going back.

We were charged over 30 euros for four really bland, basic milkshakes. The large one was almost the same as the small, just served in a differently shaped glass. They only take cash, which is unacceptable these days, and we got no receipt or bill. Probably to avoid the tax man. The owner and chef was extremely rude and insulting, and seems very out of touch with today's world. I can see why this place was half empty while all the other restaurants were full. Never again.

The room was spacious, and we had a lovely view. The restaurant wasn't a highlight, but there are lots of other places to eat in town. The hotel is right in the heart of Meersburg, and parking is about a five-minute walk away.
