The hotel has a beautiful old look, and combines old and new without seeming run-down. The staff were friendly, helpful, and genuinely charming, working with wit and enthusiasm. We were happy there overall, despite the rather expensive price. The bathroom was shabby and didn't fit the rest of the hotel. There were still hairs in it that weren't ours. The tub, taps, and shower over the tub looked ugly; the drain was rusted and didn't make you want to use the tub.

The rooms were spacious and very clean, with a charm of their own. We loved staying in the heart of Meissen, just steps from the main square and cathedral. A lovely hotel, and we’ll be back.

Nothing special, just a regular hotel with a nice breakfast buffet. The pillows were way too flat, though. Still, I enjoyed my stay.
