Pension Alte Scheune

I usually book the Deluxe room, which is roomy and comfortable, with a good bed. Breakfast is modest in size but more than enough, and the food is fresh. It's a very nice little hotel in the center of Melsungen, within walking distance of most business and tourist destinations.

We stopped here during a cross-country trip, and this little boutique hotel was amazing. Our room was very spacious and clean, and especially good for traveling with kids. It had toys and books for our toddler, plus special toiletries for our baby.

Our deluxe suite was just right: a large carpeted room on the top floor, with oak beams that gave it character. The historical building has been restored with great taste, and the bathroom was spacious and top quality. Breakfast was excellent too. The hotel was clean and well kept throughout. Top notch!

We stayed for two nights, me, my bf, and our baby, and I was so grateful for how much they cared for the baby. They provided a comfortable baby bed and a baby box with a towel, shower gel, and everything needed for a diaper change. At breakfast, there was a table set up for the baby too. There's a little kitchenette outside the room with a coffee machine, water heater, cutlery, glasses, and microwave, so we could feed the baby in our room without bothering anyone in the pension's kitchen. It's right in the center, close to restaurants and shops. I'd highly recommend it for families. Most hotels or pensions don't do that.
