Ferienhaus Lemon Tree

The hiking trails nearby made the location just right for us, and it was lovely to unwind in the spa after a day out. We had a wonderful holiday and felt at home in the house. Every room has its own tasteful style, and the furnishings are high quality. The hosts were so friendly. We'll definitely be back!

Leaving the garden was the hardest part. It felt like the perfect place to sit quietly and gaze, as Astrid Lindgren put it. My husband, our Goldendoodle Leo, and I stayed at the Lemon Tree for 10 days, and we couldn't have been happier. The house had everything we needed to feel at home, and the garden was a little paradise. We're fairly demanding when choosing a holiday, but we'd recommend this one without hesitation. We would happily have taken the house and garden back to East Frisia with us. Best wishes to Nadja and the whole team, you do such lovely work with so much heart.

The location in the village center is handy, with a bakery and small general store close enough to walk to. The house is reasonably furnished, though a few things take getting used to: you can only reach the upstairs bathroom through a bedroom, and some stairs are quite steep. The kitchen feels dated and is too small for a group. It also wasn't spotlessly clean, and we didn't find the vaulted-cellar wellness area very inviting. I'd put it closer to 3.7 stars than 4.

I felt completely relaxed by the time I left, which is exactly what I wanted from a holiday. The Lemon Tree won me over right away: the decor is stylish and full of care, and the fresh, lively colors really suit its name. I came away happy and rested.
