The setting had a real charm to it, and I’d happily travel to Bavaria again just to eat here. The meal was one of the best I’ve ever had, and it came out remarkably fast.

The fireplaces kept the dining area warm, and the breakfasts were delicious. We were glad to return to Schloss Schenke for our Grandson’s baptism and spend two peaceful weeks in the cozy, quaint, carefully maintained castle. The hosts were attentive, the rooms spacious, and the atmosphere friendly. Dinner was a treat to linger over in the dining areas, and Tunzenberg was especially quiet at this time of year. We enjoyed it all and will be back.

Really good food, too. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in a while, definitely worth a visit.

The host and staff speak English, and the rooms are very nice for a good price.
