We arrived after 8 pm and found the gate open. The next morning we paid €40 for our caravan, car, and four adults. The location was better than expected, with a pleasant river view, generous pitches, and neatly cut grass. The shared facilities were new, spotless, and all working properly, especially the very good showers. There's a playground with fine sand for kids and plenty of room for badminton or ball games. There isn't a restaurant on site.

The owners are nice, and the campsite is spacious, clean, and has ample sanitary facilities. It's in a lovely spot by the Ems, right in the middle of town, and worth a visit.

The smell of dead rabbits was awful. Everything else is fine, but I can't see straight anymore.

Really nice views, and the sanitary facilities were really good too.

A lovely campsite beside the Ems, with Meppen town center an easy walk away. The pitches are a good size, and the sanitary areas were very clean, with large showers plus places to cook and do laundry. One arrival detail to know: there are separate entrances for the campsite and reception. At the intersection, use the right-hand entrance, then walk over to check in. The barrier failed to open at the stated times on several occasions during our stay.
