Alb Inn – Hotel & Apartments

A good place to stop for one night while travelling along the autobahn. Just note that reception is only open at certain times. In room 204, I couldn’t figure out how the heating worked, but a hot shower helped sort things out.

I’m very disappointed, especially at this price. On the second night, after a long meeting, I got back late and found reception closed. My supplied electronic key card let me into the hotel, but it wouldn’t open my room. Once reception shuts, there’s nobody on site apart from guests in their rooms, no staff or security at all. I called the night emergency number on the door. The security company said they were far away and couldn’t come for 2 1/2 hours, after finishing their rounds somewhere else. They didn’t know anyone else I could contact either. That’s no service, and it’s strange to leave the whole property unsupervised overnight. After a while I got through on the daytime number, and someone arrived 20 minutes later to reset the card. The first night had been fine, but this was not acceptable.

We stopped here on the way to Austria and had a really good stay. The breakfast was perfect, the employees were nice, and the rooms were good with a comfortable temperature. Parking felt safe, and the hotel is close to the highway. The quality for the price was much better than at other hotels.

The beds were super comfortable, and both the rooms and bathrooms were very clean. The interior looks really nice too. Breakfast was lovely. Even if you arrive after check-in time, around 20:30 or 21:00, you can get your key from one of the slots outside and check in whenever you need to. A great experience.
