The hosts were very friendly, and breakfast was gorgeous. The room was clean and simple, with everything working fine, including the shower. It's close to the abbey and castle, and the adjoining street gets little traffic at night.

The basement kitchen is a real plus, fully equipped and even stocked with coffee. The location near the cathedral and castle is convenient too. The downside was the old, worn mattress, which isn't suitable for anyone with a sensitive back. The bathroom is cramped, with the toilet wedged between the shower and the wall.

We arrived before check-in time, but when we asked, it was no problem. The guesthouse is cozy and close to the center, and our nicely furnished room had everything we needed. We could also use the basement kitchen. The rooms were surprisingly soundproof. The shower was a little small, but otherwise I have no complaints.

The service and room were fine. I was cycling toward the Brocken mountain and happened to pass by, luckily finding a room available. They welcomed me warmly with a cold beer, and my e-bike was stored safely and could be charged.

The town center, castle park, and castle are all easy to reach on foot. The guesthouse itself is very clean and well located, and I especially appreciated Mr. Heyn's warm, personal welcome. I felt comfortable right away. There's a well-equipped kitchen downstairs and a fridge with beer for thirsty guests.
