The room was really clean and nice, and so was the bathroom. There was a big window that let in sunlight and a huge mirror with lighting, which was great for doing makeup. It was super quiet at night, and I liked the room a lot. Julian from the night reception was so kind and tried hard to find me an adapter or charger. The charger didn’t work at all, but I could tell the staff really cared about guests. I recommend it!

My motorcycle broke down, my phone wasn’t working, and arriving at the Holiday Inn Express in Merzig was a lifesaver. Every staff member was so helpful and made a difficult situation much easier. The hotel and room were lovely, the shower was modern, and breakfast was delicious. I really couldn’t fault anything. Thank you all!

The river and riverside path are a nice way to stretch your legs after a long drive, and there’s good food nearby. The staff are extremely helpful and breakfast is very good. The hotel is clean, tidy, practical, and well located for an overnight stop. We’ve stayed twice in the past two years. Since 2000 we’ve driven from London to Venice at least once a year. We used to do the trip with one overnight stop, but now stop twice, and this hotel is very convenient for splitting the outward journey into three parts.

It’s a bright, airy hotel with a clean bedroom and bathroom, well placed for an overnight stay near the A8. The staff were friendly, and there’s a Brauhaus nearby for meals. Breakfast was decent and it was good value, though it’s probably pricier at other times of year. I’d definitely stay again.
