At that price, I was expecting something much nicer. The sauna was really poor, and the room was so small.

We had a lovely spa weekend, especially with the room that came with an infrared cabin, basically a dry sauna. The breakfast was varied and great, and everyone was friendly. If you’ll arrive after 6pm, make sure you tell them ahead of time. Parking costs extra, but Altstadt-Parking nearby is 5 euros a day, which is manageable for a short stay in town.

Breakfast was a real plus, with plenty of choice and a good hot selection. The attentive staff kept everything replenished. The room itself was spacious, comfortable, and very clean, with a great bed and two armchairs that were easy to relax in. I did miss having tea and coffee in the room, and the sliding glass bathroom door let light spill into the bedroom at night. The hotel is centrally located, just minutes from public parking that costs only 5 euros a day. We weren’t told before arrival that the bar and restaurant were closed, perhaps temporarily. We only found out when we tried to book dinner online on arrival day. For drinks, there was just a trust-based bottle fridge, while the outdoor beer garden was unlit and didn’t feel welcoming. It seemed they were having trouble finding enough staff.

The restaurant served excellent food, and the service there was quick and efficient. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful. We had a quiet, roomy, clean room that looked recently modernized. The hotel is tucked away from the busy streets, but you can walk to the main street in a few minutes.
