We tried this place for the first time yesterday and felt at home right away. The cozy room is decorated with lots of ships, which makes the owner’s fondness for them pretty clear. He’s friendly and quite a character, though the very casual, informal way you’re addressed may not suit everyone. Service was quick, and the food was delicious and good quality. We had chicken soup, then schnitzel with hollandaise sauce and peaches plus fries, and suckling pig with sauerkraut and fried potatoes. The portions were more than generous. Two things brought my rating down. The TV by the bar was very loud, and since the restaurant was nearly empty, it made the background noise unpleasant while eating. I think it might be less noticeable when it’s busier. Also, they don’t take cards. I don’t think there’s a good reason to skip card payments these days, and I generally avoid businesses that won’t accept them. I was sure I’d return until I found that out. A real shame, because everything else was so good.

We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The staff were attentive and friendly, and all the rooms were clean and tidy. The food was delicious, too. The inn has a distinctive, rustic look inside and out, and the outdoor area is especially inviting in nice weather. We’d be glad to visit again.

Harry, the owner, gave us great advice, and the atmosphere was lovely. There were four of us for the Wednesday “Schnitzel Dinner,” and it was fantastic as always. The schnitzels and sides were excellent, and the meal is great value. Warm regards to the cook! ❤️

The owners put real heart into this place. It’s cozy, clean, and rustically decorated, with affordable prices for the quality. The food is beautifully presented and seasoned just right. The menu is well balanced, and they also have seasonal specials, so ask about those when you’re there. One of my new favorite restaurants, definitely worth a visit!
