Lindgart Hotel Minden

The restaurant, bar, and outdoor patio are fantastic, and the food really impressed me. The rooms are well laid out, with spacious bathrooms, and housekeeping always kept everything clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable too. One thing to know: there’s no air conditioning, so the room can get very warm. Reception gave me a standing fan, which helped, though I missed having AC.

The generous breakfast, commendable service, and satisfactory common areas were all positives, but the four-star hotel fell short of what I expected for this price range. The bathroom curtain let a lot of water onto the floor, and without air conditioning the room became uncomfortably warm.

Day one has been a disaster. The intercom and air conditioning don’t work, the access card has caused problems, there’s no drinking water in the room, and no hot water is coming from the taps. The bathroom smells too. I thought the hotel didn’t know how to keep guests cool, but now even basic things seem to be ignored. I’m unlikely to stay a second day, and wouldn’t choose this hotel for business or personal trips. Better to stay somewhere else. Is there a way for the authorities to notice this and take action?

I was here for a wedding in Buckeburg and found the staff extremely pleasant. They were a delight to ask questions. The rooms are a little small, but have all the amenities needed. It’s a nice, cozy hotel in a small-town setting. I’ve rated it relative to its star level.
