Ferienwohnung Mastiaux

There aren't any grocery stores or restaurants open nearby during the week, so keep that in mind. Still, it's perfectly fine for a night on the trail. The Eifelsteig is right there, and breakfast is generous, though you have to put it together yourself. Our room was clean apart from a moldy shower curtain. The hostess was fairly friendly and drove us to Hillesheim, even though we'd initially offered and then reluctantly declined. For the return trip, we were told to take a taxi.

The room was huge and spotless, and breakfast was more than enough. We found it to be very good value. We stayed here for a night while hiking the Eifelsteig, and since the accommodation is right on the trail, I'd happily recommend it to other hikers.

Everything worked out well, and the service was great. Getting there was easy. If you want fresh milk, ask about it ahead of time.

For €58, we had a clean, roomy apartment with a private shower, kitchenette and seating area, plus TV and Wi-Fi. The fridge had drinks you could take for a small fee. We were hiking the Eifelsteig when we stayed with the Mastiaux family. Mrs. Mastiaux gave us a very friendly welcome, showed us around, and made sure we had what we needed for breakfast. The apartment was more comfortable than many hotels on the Eifelsteig. I'd recommend it without hesitation.
