Themenhotel Rehlein

The forest and hiking paths are close by, which makes this a great choice for hikers. We spent two nights here, and the room was clean and warm when we arrived. We did miss having a chair in the room and some kind of information folder. Apart from that, it was a very pleasant stay and worth visiting.

We had a renovated room with a bathtub, booked through Travador, and would gladly return if we got the chance. The hotel is outside Thale's center, which worked out well for us, including the good snowfall at that altitude. The staff were very courteous. Breakfast is basic but there was plenty, and scrambled eggs were usually available if requested. There are both renovated and unrenovated rooms. We were very satisfied.

The breakfast was fantastic, with lots of options for everyone, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the owners gave us a warm welcome. The hotel has recently changed to enthusiastic new management and is being renovated, but that didn't cause us any trouble. We spent three days and nights here. It's right in town, with good transport connections and free parking at the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, highly recommend it, and will come back for longer since there's still so much to explore. Best wishes to the new owners and staff, and much success in the future.

We were in Thale for the weekend and had booked the themed hotel Rehlein. At check-in we were told it no longer existed, though the new operator had rooms for us. The place seemed to be undergoing renovations, but our room felt stuck in another era. The beds were badly worn and uncomfortable, and cleanliness was poor, which was difficult with a small child. Breakfast was meager. The owner, a man, stayed by the room throughout breakfast wanting to chat. A quick conversation is fine, but constant attention wasn't pleasant. He also couldn't tell us about sights or places to visit when we asked. We were allowed to pay cash at Friday check-in before getting the keys, but the bill we'd asked for wasn't there. I definitely won't book this accommodation again.
