Gästehaus Kurparkfrieden

The apartment itself was very good and had everything we needed, which makes the stay all the more disappointing. We liked the meadow and the chickens and ducks in their coop behind it, and the house is in a quiet spot at the end of a cul-de-sac. The view was over the meadow and toward the side of the mountain. Still, the place felt dark and colorless, and there was no flower box with the Bavarian geraniums shown in the photos. In our second week, trucks, excavators, and vibratory rollers began a major redevelopment behind the meadow, starting at 7 a.m. and continuing into the evening. Nobody warned us. It was alarming, and we couldn't enjoy breakfast on the balcony. Inside, we could still hear it with the windows closed. We had hoped for peace near the spa park, but that wasn't possible. Mrs. Schandl said she couldn't do anything and that the neighbor, or her son, hadn't told her about the work. Her reaction struck us as very strange, and we were very disappointed. The sauna and solarium had apparently not been offered for years, though they were advertised online. They were offered to me, unless you had to be a “nice” guest to get access, but with construction noise in the background it wouldn't have been relaxing, so I declined. Who knows what will happen next.
